First annual DiDAX Meeting held in Zurich

FML is part of the EU-Project DiDAX, which researches DNA data applications. The consortium held its first annual meeting in Zurich, organised by FML.

At its first annual meeting in Zurich, the external page DiDAX project team gathered to review recent advances in DNA-based technologies for data storage, security and in-product documentation. Key discussions included embedding DNA in materials for data storage applications, developing DNA-based security protocols, and creating sustainable tracking solutions to support material recycling.

During several sessions, consortium members presented the results of the past year and collaborated on new ideas for the future of the project. The programme also included two scientific talks - one on quantifying CRISPR off-target effects and another on recent advances in oligonucleotide synthesis. The meeting concluded with a tour of the FML laboratories, where participants explored an end-to-end DNA data storage process in the laboratory, bringing theoretical discussions into a practical setting.
