FML-spinoff Haelixa launches their first traceable TreeShirt!

Haelixa marks the organic cotton with natural markers and can trace the material of the Traceable TreeShirt back along its entire supply chain. The marker consists of natural DNA sequences which are sprayed on as a unique label. Haelixa's newly developed technology contributes to greater sustainability and transparency in the textile industry.

The fast-fashion models of the current textile industry cause enormous environmental and social harm to our planet. With the project Traceable TreeShirt four Swiss companies set an example for transparent supply chains. The ETH spin-off Haelixa, the clothing brand NIKIN, the trading platform gebana and the consulting company ecos have launched a crowd project, in which the fair production of T-shirts made of 100% organic cotton can be tracked and traced in real time. The Traceable Tree Shirts are available online for external pagepre ordering. The project is intended to create customer awareness and demand higher transparency from textile supply chains. With Haelixa’s unique marking technology the organic cotton remains verifiable from farm until the final T-shirt, unraveling its journey for the consumer.
