Our new article on the "DNA of Things”, was recently published in Nature Biotechnology. The work shows that everyday objects can be used as storage devices, irrevocably connecting digital information with physical items using DNA as data storage medium.

FML-spinoff Haelixa launches their first traceable TreeShirt!
Haelixa marks the organic cotton with natural markers and can trace the material of the Traceable TreeShirt back along its entire supply chain. The marker consists of natural DNA sequences which are sprayed on as a unique label. Haelixa's newly developed technology contributes to greater sustainability and transparency in the textile industry.
FML Start-up UniSieve is now part of Climate KIC
The EIT Climate-KIC Accelerator Switzerland has revealed the 11 startup-teams that will join the 2019 Winter Batch. UniSieve is one of them! The startups will benefit from equity-free grants of up to CHF 100k, coaching and training until March 2020.

We have developed a complete, stand-alone, and ready-to-use quantitative PCR instrument that can be fabricated from inexpensive and easily available components and that can achieve fast thermal cycling thanks to a hybrid control strategy. The device simple to operated and it can be manufactured with inexpensive, off-the-shelf components at a low price.
